As veterans we share a common bond
that transcends most relationships.

Crossed Sabers

The Winter-Spring Edition of Crossed Sabers, which includes Reunion information, is available as a pdf.

4th of July Greetings to the 12th Cav Famiy

Wishing you all a Safe and Happy 4th of July in America, the Home of the Brave and Land of the Free . All veterans have made this possible by their actions as a member of the U.S. Armed Forces. The 12th Cav has done its part over the years from the frontiers of the South West, WWII in the Pacific, Vietnam, and many deployments in the Middle East - Iraq-Afghanistan and presently showing our colors in many countries in Asia and Europe. The task of being on guard in a troubled world is never over.
What a great Reunion we had at Kileen and Ft. Hood in June. Although the number of attendees was below our usual, those who were there were able to share our "Regimental Day" with the 2-12 Cav-- looking over their current combat equipment - Tanks, Tracks and more importantly were able to mix with those young troopers. The 12th Cav is in good hands.
The 2-12 Formal Ball was something special. The young Troopers in their Army blues- white shirts, bow ties and charming young ladies made for a memorable evening.
Get Ready to saddle up for the Branson roundup in September.

As you fly our flag and salute out Colors, TAKE PRIDE IN YOUR PART OF MAKING OUR COUNTRY SAFE AND SECURE.

SEMPER PARATUS, PROUD TO BE A 12TH CAV TROOPER

GOD BLESS
COL. JAMES (JIM) W. DINGEMAN
HONORARY COLONEL OF THE 12TH CAVALRY REGIMENT
